Meet the Founder

Aliki Zagorianos is the founder of Emboria Media Management, a graduate from the University of Houston’s C.T. College of Business in 2014 with a major in Entrepreneurship and a Minor in Marketing. During her time in the Entrepreneurship Program she became team leader for a 2 day food fundraiser called Wolffest. She successfully won the contest and broke the record for raising the most funds ever in 2014. This success challenged her even more to open her very own online Greek Bakery.

Upon graduation, Aliki accepted a position as a Marketing Manager of a fabric and floor caring company out of Houston, overseeing the Referral Marketing department as well as the email, direct mail, and Social Media Marketing for the company. In her first year, she tripled the amount of referrals. In 2018 she married and moved to Louisville, Kentucky . Her employer Clean As A Whistle in an effort to keep her offered her a position to work out of the comfort of her home. Aliki accepted continuing to break her own records.

In addition,she signed up to be the Marketing Chair of the church’s annual 2 day Greek Festival. That entailed promoting the event through mail, email, and Social Media Marketing. Before Aliki came on board, the church’s net profit of this 2 day annual event was about $7k. In her first year of Marketing the event, she was able to triple the amount and today this amount has risen to $78k.

In 2019 ,during the COVID-19 pandemic, a colleague of Aliki’s husband, opened up a business and inquired if she could undertake the job of promoting his services using the influence of the Social Media Marketing for his Optometry start up. Aliki accepted the new challenge. This doctor’s practice grew so much, he referred Aliki’s work to others in his optometry field. This new idea ended up becoming a great service for an untapped need in the sphere of Optometry/Ophthalmology world. That is how the name Emboria was conceived.

The word “Εμπορία” is the greek word for Marketing and since Aliki is of greek descent she thought it would be befitting to describe her work.

Today, Aliki is blessed to still be able to work as a Marketing Manager remotely as well as run Emboria in the comfort of her own home all while being a stay at home mom.
